I have a safety net some of us do and it’s important that we are honest and open about that while endeavorig not to be assholes or marks.

Sometimes with strangers sometimes with chosen family the unfairness of how things are distributed will break through my assimilated uppermiddle class training and the universe uses me well. I post bail to keep a 5’2” 20yr old black transwoman SA victim out of men’s jail or I turn money into housing security for queer black Philadelphians.
If you happen to be rich like I am how are you finding your way to sharing – toward right relation?

My God family lives in a house that I imperfectly steward paying the bills and maintaining the space for my God sister, her 6 exuberant children and the other family members she is always supporting. I am blessed and humbled to bear whitness to the toll that benefit interruptions and draconian policies like elimminating free school lunch programs are taking on my god family’s health and happiness. Heart broken for how my love and financial assistance never seem to be enough.

This is one intimate practice of wealth redistribution I engage in.
I yearn for invitations to hold eachother in that process of releasing wealth to meet the needs of those most vulnerable.
